Many people believe that heaven is a place of eternal happiness where nice people go after they die. The problem with that you can never be nice enough to earn your way into His kingdom(heaven). To enter into heaven means to enter into the presence of GOD, but there is one problem. God cannot endure sin. If you have ever committed just one sin (like lied to someone or in your lifespan ever had a lustful thought for a person who you was not married to) we have fallen short. In Romans 3:23 it says, "for all have sinned and have fall short of the glory of God". Because each of us have sinned in our lifetime we are not entitled to go to heaven. Sorry. But, because of his incredible love, however, He has provided a way for you and I to enter His loving presence and to receive eternal life. In John 3:16 it is written, "For GOD so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" . Ladies and Gentlemen never ever forget that! The cost was high, for the only way to cleanse you of your sin was to send His Son Jesus into the world to bear the sins of all humankind. As an ultimate expression of his love, He allowed his Son to be crucified as a sacrifice for your sins, so through Jesus you could receive salvation and enter into His presence. At this time, take out your Bible and read John 3: 1-15 before reading the next message. Thanks!
BEING CONVERTED
Many people believe that being saved (born-again) is simply an experience or a good feeling they had at one time. No! There are many people that are confuse about being saved. In John 3: 4-"Nicodemus saith unto him(unto Jesus). How? Note Nicodemus' first word, "How?" He did not understand the concept of being born again, even though he was a spiritual leader in Israel. Clearly, in John 3: 1-15 Jesus is showing that there are two births. The first birth is of the flesh. This is what we call our birthday, and the second birth is a spiritual birth that must take place within us. You must be converted! Also, you must become as little children toward Jesus. When you are born the second time (born of the spirit) a conversion takes place in you and your attitude. When you are converted your attitude changes. You begin to love the Word of God. You begin to hate sin and every evil way. Examples of sin: fornication with someone who you are not married to, during a emotional conversation with someone you speak profanity; lying because of pride; after a hard and stressful day at work, say " I need a drink"; or continue to let bitterness and anger to control your life. You become converted from doing your will and begin to focus on the Word Of God. Our mind needs to be renewed. We need to study God's Word diligently and be renewed in knowledge. By reading the Word Of God, the Holy Spirit begins to work into the heart of those who is seeking God. Leading them into a new God fearing lifestyle!
LITTLE CHILDREN LIFESTYLES
Remember, Jesus said these words in Matthew 18:3, and said, Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven". Right now, whatever you are worried about or struggling with, its all boils down to a lack of simplicity in life. God wants you to live a simple life, because you can better focus on JESUS and more easily see how JESUS can use you. Adults sometimes look at kids and think that they are wasting their time on trivial things. However, they are doing what comes naturally to them. That is what God wants us to do. Remember, seek Him first then all the others thing in life will be added into your life. When converted, your family will call you crazy and your friends will say that you are brainwashed. Your life will change: No more club hopping or drinking yourself unconscious. If you are not married to that certain man or woman; you will take your clothes from their place and start sleeping in your own bed (shacking up). You will slowly lose the taste of worldly music and start listening to more music concerning JESUS CHRIST, to praise and worship our SAVIOR in your car, office and home! You will feel guilty of using profanity at anytime. You will think before you speak and you will pray and encourage those who do not like you. You will live a life of forgiveness to anyone who has done you harm during the present and past. The Holy Spirit will lead you to a church where you will get wisdom from the man of God. With LOVE you will start paying your tithes at the church. You will be excited going to church and mid-week bible study. You will publicly praise and worship God in your church. You will have a yearning to join a ministry at your church. You will begin to associate with new friends and on weekends hanging out in different venues. HOW DO I KNOW? BECAUSE BROTHERS AND SISTERS, THAT WAS US AT ONE TIME BEFORE WE GAVE OUR LIFE TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR-JESUS CHRIST. And now we have peace, love and joy! If you are a non believer or a person who never was converted and are still living your worldly ways I need to ask you a question.
