What Do You Do?

What do you do when your life has flipped upside down?  When all peace, love, and enjoyment has left your life, and life has become a burden to you. When you wake up in the morning and wish you were dead. When you say to yourself..."why do GOD hates me or why did GOD let this happen to me". This page on this website is to help people when they are in a dark tunnel with no light at the end.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

What do you do when after taking your regular yearly physical, your doctor feel a lump in your breast and say to you, "After taking extensive x-rays we might have to remove one of your breast".  What do you do after giving your company fifteen years of dedication and commitment, they decided to let you go, and you are the bread winner of the family. What do you do when after ten years of marriage and three young children, your husband comes home and with a calm and ordinary voice, he tells you "I have spoken with my lawyer and he is drawing up divorce papers as we speak and there is nothing you can do about it". What do you do at the age of 16, two months ago at a house party while drunk you had unprotected sex and now after a doctor visit you are told you have HIV.  What do you do when your only child whom you have loved so deeply is strung out on cocaine, living from pusher to pusher, and everytime you try to help and console him he steals your money and your possessions, and curses you out.  What do you do when you feel guilty, ashame and confused when your own mother does not believe that your step-father has try to have sex with you more that once, and the only thing your mother says is, "You just trying to steal my man from me", and your mother is threatening to throw you out of the house.

The first thing to remember is when you are in a difficult situation, God is with you and He loves you. Many people will say,  "Why did God let this happen to me or Where was God in this?"  I have not met one person in my lifetime who enjoys suffering or pain.  Remember, suffering breeds character, and character breeds faith and at the end, the only thing that we truly have is faith.  Suffering or pain in your life when relating to you mentally, emotionally or physically will bring humbleness to your life, and you will develop a personal relationship with Him.

I remember a gentleman who was making over 100k a year in a very well known company, he attended church and mid-week bible classes regularly and was involved in a ministry in his church.  He had a wonderful family, lived in a beautiful home and was a prestgious community.  He was always asked how did you get all of this and he would always say, "Jesus provides for me and I believe I have a personal relationship with Him." A year later he lost his job(outsourcing), which brought havoc in his family and he lost his home in that prestigeous community.  Now he makes half of the income he previously made, but he stills goes to church and mid-week bible study and remains involved in his church's ministry.  He once said "Before I thought Jesus provided for me when I had that nice job (salary and prestige), but I can tell you NOW that Jesus truly provides for me.  This situation that I'm in now has allowed me to develop a true DEPENDENT relationship with him, and not the superficial relationship I had earlier in my life.  I talk to GOD daily and our conversations are more real and emotional nowthan ever before. This has become a humble experience for me and I have found peace, joy, love, and I have walked away from my bitterness.  I think if I had to do it all over again....I would not change one thing.  Why? because I developed something that I truly needed....character"!

DON'T GIVE UP!

There may be a problem or situation in your life, that you have lost all hope and peace over it. It seem by faith you have prayed day after, but your situation has not changed. This storm in your life won't last long, and hes right there beside you. Trust in the Lord Jesus and know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Sometimes in life you are going to feel that you are all alone in life and know one cares, but Jesus told me to tell you to continue to trust Him and He will bring you out. He knows the plan He has for you. All things work together to His perfect will no matter what you are going through. Keep that head up and wipe those tears away from your face, God is not through with you and your situation. You have come to far on this journey to give up, God has something "Great" in stored for you. Life is not easy and sometimes it can be down right difficult.

Be open to how God can work through a problem or a lack in your life to achieve His purpose and to bring His plan in your life. Carefully watch how God is trying to teach you about yourself and about Him during the time of troubles in your life. When your storm is over, be open to the testimony opportunities that come your way because of your situation. Think about how you can encourage others who will face the same problems and struggles you did.
