WHAT IS FAITH
You might have tried and failed toward a goal, a dream or even hoped that a certain illness would leave your body, and nothing has changed. God will never place anything in your life that you cannot handle. Even though it might seem overwhelming to you now, God will bring you through it Sometimes your blessing is in the suffering you are going through right now. God loves you and He has a plan for your life. This web page is to lift you up when your faith has dwindled.
The definition of faith comes from the scripture and is recorded in Hebrew 11:1 - "now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." When an individual accepts that God will carry out his promises even though we don't see those promises formed yet, we have shown faith. Using the priciples of faith is not a easy concept, specially when you are in a dead end situation; but it pleases God. In Hebrew 11:6 - " But without faith is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He his a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him". As we live our life, God should be the compass of our living. We should not depend on numerology, zodiac signs, or horoscopes, but dependent on God's word. Faith is a secret weapon of the believers. In II Corinthian 5:7 - "For we walk by faith and not by sight". We must live a lifestyle of faith in God and believe His word will never fail. We are commanded by scripture that the "Just shall live by faith". In Habakkuk 2:4 - "Behold his soul which is lifted up, is put upright in him: but the just shall live by faith." In Hebrew 10:38 - "Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him".
So, who is the Just? The just are believers who have accepted and believe that JESUS is our LORD and SAVIOR. When the Just place their faith in GOD, their outlook on life changes. You begin to believe that the impossible can occur even if the facts say otherwise. We should be looking to the future and honestly believe that better days are coming even in the worst scenarios.
Woman with Blood disorder
There are many stories in the Bible that gives great examples of faith. However, we have chosen a story that demonstrates the true act of faith. In Mark 5:25-29 - "and a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years. And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague". Her faith healed her. She already made her mind up that not if, but when she touch Jesus' garment she would be healed. Her words lined up with what she believed and she was convinced in her mind that she would be healed. We must not limit ourselves with God. We want you to experience life by the fullest. Do not get worn down with what people say about you, but focus on the Word of God. What can you believe God for? If you can believe and it's in God's will, it can be possible for you. In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, "if thou can believe, all things are possible if thou believe". His words will support you through the tough times and the darkest moments in your life.
FAITH BUILDING
God sometimes place people in situations not to punish you but either to build your faith in him or to build faith in others who are around you. Every Christian needs to build their faith so they will be able to handle those heart-stopping crises. Building spiritual faith is the same as building your body(weight lifting) in the physical sense or expanding your vocabulary(reading books) in the mental sense. First, Pray Daily. Praying is a direct communication to the God, who will hear your prayers.Through prayer, He can bless you with power when you are tempted to do wrong and will instruct you to do the right thing. It helps you to confess your sins to Him and to ask Him for forgiveness. Prayer is also a opportunity to praise and worship him, and to thank him for the things that he done for you in the present tense and in the future!(Matthew 6: 9-13 and Psalm 55:17) Second, Bible Reading. In the morning, read one proverb(there are 31 proverbs in the bible and there are no more than 31 days in a month, so use that day's date to read) and three psalms to worship Him. In the evening, read and meditate a chapter a day in the bible. Everytime you read from the bible or pray take ten to twenty minutes to meditate-you might just hear that small voice.(Luke 6: 47-48). Third, Spiritual Friends or Mentors. Spiritual friends or mentors around you will encourage you when life comes overwhelming. It good to have spiritual people around you when life gets confusing and overbearing.(Proverb 27:17)
This faith building technique is something what we do and we just wanted to share it with you. God Bless You!
